We Offer 4D Obstetric Ultrasounds for All Patients
As a patient of Dr. Morrison, you will have access to the very latest ultrasound technology. Our MiracleVisionTM ultrasounds provide 3D images and 4D video for all obstetric patients. The photo on this page shows the realistic images produced by this realtime 3D/4D technology.
Watch your little miracle sleeping, yawning or sucking his (or her) thumb. It’s a special time to peek into your baby’s world, gain reassurances and begin bonding before birth. Images and video can be captured and transferred to CD for safekeeping.
If you choose, you can elect to have an ultrasound in addition to those that are done as part of your prenatal care. We realize there are “ultrasound boutiques” popping up in malls and such locations. We prefer that our patients have the option for an elective ultrasound done by our registered sonographer within our own medical setting. Do keep in mind that ultrasounds done on an elective basis are not considered medically necessary and are not covered by health insurance.
Unless a medical reason warrants otherwise, you can expect one to three ultrasounds as part of your prenatal care. You will have your first ultrasound at your first new OB appointment. You will then have a second ultrasound at 18-22 weeks. The final ultrasound is at 28-32 weeks, and we can usually provide a 3D picture at that time. Your total number of ultrasounds depends on how far you are into your pregnancy at your first OB visit.
