Meet Paul Morrison, MD
As a woman, you go through so many phases in life. Each one comes with important health decisions that will affect your future. You may be eagerly expecting the birth of your first child or facing a difficult time getting pregnant. You may be contemplating a permanent end to conception or trying to understand the changes resulting from menopause.
Wherever you are in life, when you entrust me with your care, I strive to be more than just your OB/GYN. I believe my role includes understanding, compassion, guidance – and at times sharing the awe of new life.
I also view communication and collaboration with your primary care physician as critical to your best possible care. That’s why I work closely with primary care physicians and promise timely consultation for all patient referrals.
My Background and Education
Building a doctor/patient relationship of trust doesn’t just happen. It takes time, and it begins with your confidence and comfort level with the physician you’ve chosen. That’s why I want to tell you a bit about myself and my background.
As a native of this area, I graduated from Reitz Memorial High School. My wife, Elisa (Taraska) Morrison, is also originally from Evansville, and we have five children. You will meet Elisa, as she also works within our practice. We are a Christian family and are active in our church.
My education includes the following:
- B.A., magna cum laude, in chemistry from Wabash College, Crawfordsville, Indiana
- M.D. from Indiana University School of Medicine, Indianapolis, Indiana
- An internship in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Indiana University, Indianapolis, Indiana
- A residency in OB/GYN at Ochsner Health Systems, New Orleans, Louisiana
- Board eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Junior Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology
Although my training led me outside of Evansville, I feel fortunate to be back in my hometown serving the community that has and continues to be so important to me and my family.
